We have been running our Healthy Bones classes at Ashbourne Physiotherapy Clinic since 2008
The class is specifically designed to help improve your bone health. The class is suitable for those with osteopaenia, osteoporosis or those that just want to keep their bones as strong as possible. If you have diagnosed osteoporosis, we recommend you make an appointment to see one of our osteoporosis specialists prior to booking the class.
The aim of the class is to:
- Promote bone density by using weight-bearing and resisted exercises, particularly for the hip and back muscles.
- improve balance to prevent falls.
- Improve posture and flexibility
- Provide advice and information on osteoporosis and osteopaenia
- Be Fun!!
Classes last one hour and are currently on Zoom. If you would like to do a free trial class, please contact us and we can arrange that for you. Classes are booked in sets of eight (€120) and can be joined at any time. Please give us sufficient notice if you are unable to attend as there is a €5 fee for late cancellations or failure to attend for classes.
CLASS TIMETABLE
Pilates classes are run in sets (with the exception of Post-Natal Pilates) and the date below each Pilates class indicates when the next set starts. Other classes can be joined at any time. At the moment, all are classes are being run on Zoom. We may be able to have one to four in the clinic depending on the Covid restrictions that are in place at the time.
